For example, if you like interacting with customers, then getting into dropshipping or ecommerce, is a freakin’ fantastic way to make a bucket load of money online. I am serious about that! Online shopping is not going anywhere any time soon.
2. No Expertise Required
Getting started online is something that anyone can do, even if you have never done it before and have absolutely no knowledge of what to do. So if you are a newbie, that’s fine.
Legitimate opportunities often show you what you will be doing to make money online, so you can make an informed decision. In addition to which, you get the training you need to get started and run a successful online business.

First of all, let me just say that if you think that people are not making money online, then you are fooling yourself.
I always remember my first Google Adsense check, my first commissions from two other companies, the first time I got my remittances for freelance writing, and my first Amazon sale. No matter how much money you make, you always remember the first time it happened, no matter how much it was.
You know why? Because as you get started online, it simply confirms for you that making money online works. But my experience won’t necessarily be your experience. However, if you can get over the hurdles I am about to discuss, then you can have yourself a successful online business.
So here are five (5) valid reasons why an online business is NOT for anyone.
1. It’s Not a Get Rich Quick Sort of Thing
So here’s the thing. If you are thinking that you are going to make a ton of money right out the gate, then an online business is not for you. Having an online business is not a get rich quick sort of thing and anyone telling you that you can get rich quick with the opportunity they are peddling to you, they are simply trying to scam you. So be wary of that.
If you are NOT prepared to put in the effort to make an online business work for you, then hold on to your day job, or whatever it is you are doing to make money.
2. Instant Success Mindset
The thing is, most people have this instant mindset when it comes to the internet and being online and those expectations often get transferred into having an online business. As a result, some people think that the success should be just as instant with their online business. But having an online business requires work and effort.
If you are one of those people, with that instant success mindset, then you are going to be sorely disappointed. That’s just not how an online business works.
Okay, now it’s not that you cannot make money with an online business quickly, because you can. But that depends on the opportunity, the training, and the niche you are getting into. You can actually make money quicker in some niches than others. Heck I’ve made money with a free website that had just three articles on it. Even so, it can still be a challenge for some people.

I know that seems obvious. But to have a successful online business, you have to think of it as a business.
That being said, think about all the things you would do to make your business successful. Well, for starters, you need to let people know about your business so that you can get customers right?
In the online environment, that refers to getting traffic to your website or online store. If you don’t have traffic, you DO NOT have a business. It’s as simple as that. If you’ve got the traffic, then you are in business baby!
You also need to know that using free traffic strategies can take you longer to get the kind of returns you are looking for, as opposed to paid traffic strategies. You also need to target the right audience, if you are using paid traffic strategies.
4. Lack of Dedication to the Process
If you are not prepared to follow the process or the training outlined for your opportunity, then an online business is not for you. Here’s a crazy thing that some people do. They don’t follow the training, and when they don’t make any money with their online business, they say it does not work. Crazy right?
Imagine, experienced people are telling you what to do to have a successful online business, but you do those things, then you say, “Hey, your training does not work!” Does that make sense to you? Of course not.
But the thing is, if other people are following the training and making money, then why can’t you? If experienced people are showing you what to do and how to do it, then why deviate from the training if it’s new to you?
You can’t deviate from proper training and expect that things will work out in your favor. So if you are not going to to be dedicated to the process; training and all that jazz, then an online business is not for you.
5. Easily Give Up
Are you the kind of person who gives up easily when things don’t go your way? If that’s you, then yeah, an online business is not for you.
I’ve seen some people get started online and give up, as opposed to figuring out what they are doing wrong and correct it. Then again I’ve seen people start over just to get it right. Sometimes that’s just how it goes.
But the difference with the people who stick with it, is the fact that they’ve got the right mindset and they are persistent in their efforts to make it work, simply because they see the potential.
Think about when you were learning to walk. You did not give up the first time you fell now did you. You got up and you kept going until you got it right. After learning to walk, you learned to run etc. Think of having an online business this way.
But you know what? These five (5) reasons all relate to one word, MINDSET! If you don’t have the right mindset, then an online business is NOT for you.
