Everyone Should Have a Side Hustle: What’s Yours?

A side hustle can change your life!

According to Susie Moore, “everyone should have a side hustle.” I couldn’t agree with that more! Author of “What If It Does Work Out?” Moore suggests that a side hustle is a great way to dip your toes into entrepreneurship. If you’re new to the idea of a side hustle, all it really means is pursuing and building a business outside of your day job.

I don’t know about you, but it makes perfect sense to me. Pursuing and building a business at the side, means extra income. But not only that, since it can also be a huge, huge possibility of kicking your dreaded 9 to 5 to the curb! Check it out! After pursuing and building her business at the side as a life coach, making $4000, Moore left her sales job in 2013, where at age 30, she was earning $500,00 a year. There’s nothing like doing what you love!

Why it took me almost 2 years to start making money online

But I Don’t Have an Idea!

Well, you see, that’s where you’re wrong. Don’t trip yourself up thinking that you need to have the perfect idea, or wait to be inspired for that million-dollar idea. If you keep thinking about that, you’ll just overthink everything and you’ll never get started. According to Moore, when it comes to finding an idea, it’s all about “paying attention to who you are, what you love to do, what you’re good at.”

That my friend is absolutely true! Because clarity does not come from thinking, it comes from doing. Don’t overthink it just get started! Oh oh, here comes the fear and doubt. You tell yourself, what if it doesn’t work out. Okay, so what if it doesn’t? At least you know you tried. But if you’ve got that entrepreneurial hunger, then all you did was take a little detour along the way. You can always change things up and allow your business to evolve.

So my question to you is “What If It Does Work Out?” Answer that question!

Do you need a side hustle?

Like I said, so what if you don’t have an idea. According to Moore, “ideas are overrated, execution is truly everything.” Getting started is simply the best thing you can do. The most important thing is having some confidence in yourself. Find and understand what you’re good at and look at how you can provide value to others with that thing.

So if you’re one of those people who are saying “I need a side hustle,” then here’s what I would recommend. This is something that anyone can do, using what they know and love. Moreover, it’s flexible, so you can work on it in your spare time. It’s a hustle alright; meaning that you’ve got to make an effort but it’s a darn fantastic one, because the rewards are off the charts!

I recommend you start you own work at home business. All you need is the right opportunity. Don’t worry if you don’t have an idea, we’ll help you find one. So why not start your side hustle absolutely FREE

I think there are plenty of people out there that are looking for a better way of life, freedom and want to live their life full of happiness but are just confused as to how to do it.

I think all we need is a little guide, help and a push in the right direction. Wealthy Affiliate is a great place to seek help and guidance!

Good article, get that side hustle on!

    1. Hey Salvatore

I hear you. Some people are just living day to day doing things they aren’t even interested in, just to get by. But as Susie Moore pointed out, having a side hustle is a great way to do something you love. In addition to which, doing that is so much easier with the internet. As such, a side hustle does not have to be another job that you go to, but having your own online business related to something that you have an interest in.

  2. This is an inspiring article because I actually just quit my 9-5 and right now I am driving for Uber while I am also building my online business. Not having a 9-5 frees up alot of time for me and I can actually make the same amount of money I was making before in less time. And it also gives me the flexibility to make my own hours and work when I want to. I urge anyone looking to pursue a different life to just make the jump. At some point, you are going to have to jump and there is never going to be a “right time” to do it.

    1. Hi Hunter

Thanks for dropping by and reading the article. There’s nothing like making a living doing what you love. You look forward to doing that thing and having that flexibility is a plus!. Not only that but it also takes away the stress and the drudgery that comes from doing a job that you don’t enjoy doing anymore or never did for that matter. At some point you really just need to jump on in and make that change for yourself, if you really want your life to be different.

  3. I think pursuing a business on the side of your day job is a great idea. Until 2 years ago, this never came to my mind. The thought of business seemed over my head.

Now it seems like the best decision possible. And like you said, the best thing to do is just get started. The internet has made it possible to have your own business without even having to come up with a new idea or your own products.

Thank you for your advice and encouragement!

    1. Hi Weston

Thanks for stopping by. It’s good to know that the article is encouraging to you. Hey, you found your side hustle, that’s great! As you rightly stated, the great thing about the internet is that it provides the opportunity for anyone to pursue a business at the side. The cool thing is you can do anything; you can literally turn your passion into a profit online and if you do it right, you can replace your full-time job.
